Yash Dayal has all but sealed a memorable win for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their ongoing game against Chennai Super Kings by taking two big wickets inside an over. The left-arm pacer put his team in the driver’s seat by dismissing a well-set Rachin Ravindra and Shivam Dube in the 13th over.
Defending a big total of 197 runs, RCB started the proceedings with the ball in a solid fashion. In the second over of the innings, Josh Hazlewood dismissed Rahul Tripathi and CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad to put his team in the driver’s seat.

CSK just could not recover after those twin setbacks and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Even before the end of the ninth over, they lost four wickets for just 52 runs.

The fall of the fourth wicket brought Dube in the middle with Ravindra batting at the other end. With Ravindra well set and Dube capable of hitting the big shots, CSK’s hopes were still alive to pull off an unlikely win. However, Yash Dayal all but ended those slim hopes by dismissing both the batters in the 13th over.
Yash Dayal strikes twice in one over:
On the first ball of the over, he dismissed Ravindra after the latter swung hard at the ball but could not make a good connection. The ball took an inside edge and hit the pad before deflecting towards the stumps. The New Zealand star departed for 41 runs.
Later on the fifth ball of the over, Yash Dayal struck again to remove Dube as well. The southpaw was hit for a four on the previous delivery and responded in a brilliant manner. He adjusted the length of the delivery and was duly rewarded for it. It was a short of a length delivery and Dube ended up dragging the ball onto the stumps.
Dube’s dismissal was a huge wicket for RCB and Virat Kohli’s animated reaction said it all. The dismissal all but sealed the game for RCB and the batting superstar came up with a hilarious gesture. With a playful expression, Kohli showed two fingers, indicating the number of wickets taken by Yash Dayal.
