Following a season to forget in the Scottish Premiership, Rangers are now reportedly in danger of losing both Hamza Igamane and one other star following news that a Champions League club recently watched their key man in action.
Rangers braced for double transfer blow
The Gers have it all to do this summer. Not only do they have the task of finding a permanent replacement for Philippe Clement, but they must then ensure that they rebuild their side in their new manager’s vision. Just who that manager is remains to be seen.
So far, names such as Kevin Muscat and even former boss Steven Gerrard have been mentioned as potential candidates which could just be the start of a long saga for all involved at Ibrox.

Rangers star outshone “one of best players in the world” for his country
Plenty of first-team players at Rangers are out on international duty.
Meanwhile, on the transfer front, Igamane has found himself at the centre of attention. Clubs like Marseille are already reportedly eyeing summer moves to sign the Rangers star and there’s no doubt that losing him would deal the Gers a major blow.
Still just 22 years old, the young forward looks destined for great things with or without the Scottish giants, as proved by his winning goal in the Old Firm derby last time out.
That said, he’s not the only player attracting attention ahead of the summer. According to analyst John Walker, a Champions League club watched Nicolas Raskin in action for Belgium as he stole the show in his second international game this week against Ukraine.
Having picked the perfect game to see Raskin’s talents in full, those interested in signing the Rangers midfielder could yet make their move when the summer arrives.
Rangers could profit from “quick” Raskin
Whilst Rangers will be dealt a frustrating blow on the pitch if they sell both Raskin and Igamane this summer, they will at least have the chance to make impressive profit. Having welcomed Raskin for around £1m, there’s every chance that the Gers make far more than that if they decide to sell their midfielder to a Champions League clubs this summer.
Scottish Sun columnist Roger Hannah recently spoke about Rangers’ aim to create a player trading model at Ibrox and how Raskin’s sale could be part of that, telling the Go Ballistic Show: “It’s good news for him, potentially good news for Rangers.
“They want to get into this player trading model that the current board keep discussing. If you’re looking for young up-and-coming players to sell, then the guy who bosses the midfield for Belgium… that’s what you want to get.”
Also earning praise from Walker, who described him as “quick and mobile” in the area, Raskin is certainly one to keep an eye on when the summer transfer window arrives.
