SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — There are always transcendent moments in every successful college baseball program. For the Gauchos of UC Santa Barbara, that moment came on the night of Sunday, May 26th, when the seaside campus was awarded a home regional for the first time in its history by the NCAA selection committee. As anybody who has been to a game at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium will attest, the Gaucho home facility isn’t exactly a 10,000-seat shrine fit for a postseason game.
