Tottenham are considering a move for Brentford striker Yoane Wissa, with the club reportedly set to open talks with the 28-year-old forward.
According to reports, Brentford have been informed of Spurs’ desire to bring Wissa to North London, in what could potentially see the DR Congo international reunited with former Bees boss Thomas Frank, who has joined as their new head coach.
Sources suggest that Wissa is open to making the switch across the capital, following rising interest from multiple Premier League clubs.
Nottingham Forest were previously keen on signing him during the January transfer window, but were unsuccessful in their attempts.
Wissa, who joined Brentford from Lorient, enjoyed a prolific 2023-24 campaign, netting 20 goals in all competitions.
His current contract is set to expire next summer, though Brentford do have the option to extend it by an additional year.

Despite Tottenham’s interest, Brentford are thought to be reluctant to part ways with Wissa this summer.
The West London club have already experienced significant departures, including former manager Frank, captain Christian Norgaard (to Arsenal), and goalkeeper Mark Flekken (to Bayer Leverkusen).
Additionally, fellow forward Bryan Mbeumo is attracting attention from Manchester United, who have had two bids turned down but remain in discussions with Brentford.
Reports claim Brentford are unlikely to let both their star players leave in the same summer.
Should Spurs get a deal over the line, Wissa would join Mohammed Kudus at Spurs, who is set to be announced imminently by the club.
