Southeast Missouri State made program history with its run in the Fayetteville Regional last June.
With a 9-3 win over Louisiana Tech in an elimination game, the Redhawks got their first win in a regional since 2002 and just their second regional win in history.
The next day, they did one better by upsetting host Arkansas by a 6-3 score to eliminate the Razorbacks and advance to their first-ever regional final.
Those two wins are huge for building belief, which is no small thing for a program out of the OVC competing against the best of the best.
