Rohit Sharma to Lead Team India in 2025 Champions Trophy
The swashbuckling opener is facing significant pressure after struggling with the bat during the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where India lost 1-3. His poor form led to him opting out of the final Test against Australia, with Jasprit Bumrah stepping in as the stand-in captain.
Rohit’s next international assignment will be the upcoming ODI series against England. His major focus is the 2025 Champions Trophy, where he is set to lead India. This could potentially be Rohit’s final ICC event, with India aiming to add another title to their cabinet after winning the T20 World Cup in 2024.
