Nantes v PSG match preview
Paris Saint-Germain head to Stade de la Beaujoire on Tuesday night to face Nantes, as they continue their pursuit of a flawless Ligue 1 season.
The fixture was moved from the weekend to give PSG additional time to prepare for their Champions League showdown with Aston Villa – a decision that hasn’t sat well with those in the Nantes camp.
While the Ligue 1 title has already been secured, PSG are still chasing a major milestone. Luis Enrique’s side is on the verge of becoming the first team in Ligue 1 history to finish a campaign unbeaten.
Alongside domestic dominance, the Parisians are also gearing up for a Coupe de France final against Reims, and remain serious contenders to lift the Champions League trophy.
A treble is very much within reach – something no French side has ever accomplished.
Only five matches remain in the 34-game season, and PSG’s run so far has already eclipsed many benchmarks. Nantes currently hold the record for the longest unbeaten start to a Ligue 1 season with 32 matches, a feat PSG seem poised to surpass.
Their most recent outing, a hard-fought 2-1 win over Le Havre at the Parc des Princes, wasn’t a performance for the purists, but it ensured another step toward the perfect season. That result also marked their 10th straight league win – their best such run since the 2018-19 campaign.

Nantes v PSG team news
Luis Enrique opted to rotate heavily in the weekend fixture. Ousmane Dembele was rested entirely, and midfielders Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, and Joao Neves were also left on the bench.
Expect a stronger starting XI this time, as Enrique seeks to keep his key players sharp ahead of another expected rotation against Nice at the weekend.
For Nantes, Marcus Coco will serve a suspension following his red card, while Fabien Centonze and goalkeeper Alban Lafont remain unavailable. Injuries also keep Francis Coquelin, Adel Mahamoud, and Sekou Doucoure out of contention.
Goalkeeper Anthony Lopes and Sorba Thomas picked up injuries in the last match, paving the way for Patrick Carlgren to make just his sixth appearance for the club.
Nantes v PSG expected line-ups
Paris Saint-Germain: Donnarumma; Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Lucas Beraldo, Hernandez; Mayulu, Joao Neves, Lee; Dembele, Goncalo Ramos, Kvaratskhelia
Nantes: Carlgren; Amian, Castelletto, Pallois, Cozza; Lepenant, Douglas Augusto, Leroux; Abline, Mohamed, Simon
