Prabhsimran Singh falls for a 2-ball duck
The PBKS wicketkeeper-batsman Prabhsimran Singh has received great backing from the head coach Ricky Ponting, but he has played just one good knock in the Indian Premier League 2025 so far.
He smashed a sensational 69 runs against the Lucknow Super Giants but in the other two games, he registered scores of 5 and 17. Meanwhile, in the ongoing match against CSK, he had his worst outing as he bagged a 2-ball duck.
On the second ball of the 2nd over, Mukesh Choudhary shortened his length and kept it tight around the off-stump. Prabhsimran tried to tap it with an open bat-face behind square on the off-side but only managed to get an inside edge and the ball crashed into the stumps

What happened in the previous IPL match between CSK and PBKS?
In the previous IPL clash between the Chennai Super Kings and the Punjab Kings, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side registered a 28-run victory in Dharamsala.
CSK, batting first, posted 167/9 on a pitch that was not easy to bat on. Ravindra Jadeja emerged as the top performer with the bat as he came up with a quickfire 43 off 26 balls after CSK struggled through multiple collapses. Other batters who breached the 30-run mark were Ruturaj Gaikwad and Daryl Mitchell.
For PBKS, spinner Rahul Chahar (3/23) and pacer Harshal Patel (3/24) did a terrific job and they were supported very well by Arshdeep Singh (2/42) and Sam Curran (1/34).
Chasing the target, PBKS started on a good note, reaching 62/2 with batters finding the boundary regularly.
However, their innings got off the track dramatically, slipping from 62/2 to 78/7 in a matter of minutes. The CSK bowling unit, spearheaded by Jadeja (3/20) and supported by Tushar Deshpande and Mitchell Santner, triggered a stunning collapse.
PBKS kept losing wickets at regular intervals and couldn’t recover from the slide, eventually getting restricted to 139/9 in their 20 overs.
