MS Dhoni is just being himself, calm and composed – Vijay Shankar
Ahead of the game, Vijay Shankar talked about the mood in the camp with CSK struggling to win. He said that there isn’t panic in the group, and if they win tonight, it will be a great boost for them. He also opened up about playing with MS Dhoni, saying that it’s a great opportunity for everyone to learn. Speaking to broadcasters, he said:
“Not much of panic, it is just about finding our rhythm and just about one magic somewhere and if we can cross the line tonight that would be great for us. I have been striking well, but I will be really happy if I can transfer this into a match-winning performance, it is just about winning the games for the team. The best thing about IPL is you travel to different venues, and you get experience in different conditions and nothing like winning game here (at this venue) now.
“He (MSD) is just being himself, calm and composed. As a cricketer you get a learn a lot watching him and this game is all about learning and improving. I think GT is very good (talking about the teams that looked impressive this season thus far), last 3 seasons I have been with them, and this tournament is all about momentum and any team can change the momentum in the second half.”
