Liverpool have turned down an approach from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz, insisting the Colombian winger is not for sale this summer.
With the transfer window in full swing, Bayern’s interest was met with a firm no from the Premier League champions.
Reports indicate that the German club’s sporting director, Max Eberl, was informed by Liverpool officials that Diaz remains a key part of their plans, effectively halting any negotiations between the two sides.
This isn’t the first time Diaz has attracted attention in the market, Barcelona also made an attempt to sign him last month, which Liverpool similarly rejected.
Despite the external interest, Diaz has kept his options open, acknowledging that discussions have taken place.
“The market is open and we’re trying to sort out what’s best for us,” he said. “We’re talking with other clubs. It’s the transfer window, it’s normal.”

Still, he confirmed ongoing talks with Liverpool, stating: “Right now we’re in contact with them because we’re speaking with other clubs.”
Diaz, who reportedly carries a valuation of around £70 million, added: “I’m very happy at Liverpool. From day one, they’ve made me feel really welcome. I am just waiting to see what happens. If Liverpool don’t make a good offer, I still have two years left with them, I would be happy to stay there.
“It’s up to them. I am just waiting to see what happens. Everything depends on them. Obviously, it’s up to me to decide what’s best for the future.”
The Reds are aiming to keep their core squad intact this summer, especially after the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
In response, the club have been proactive in the market, signing Jeremie Frimpong as a direct replacement, and securing a British-record deal for Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth has also joined their ranks.
Meanwhile, young defender Jarell Quansah has moved in the opposite direction to Leverkusen, and fellow prospect Harvey Elliott is reportedly attracting attention from several clubs following his strong showing at the Under-21 Euros.
