One of the Junior Springboks who starred in the team’s blowout of the Junior Wallabies, is sadly on his way home.
Junior Bok winger Siya Ndlozi – who scored a brace in their 73-17 demolition of the Aussies – is out of the World Rugby Under 20 championship because of a hamstring injury.
He sustained that injury against England last Friday evening.
CATCH-UP: Junior Boks ring the changes
The Junior Boks management have called on utility back Alzeadon Felix as injury cover as they set their sights on their final pool match against Scotland on Wednesday.
Felix, who played for the SA Schools team in 2024, had a good Varsity Cup campaign with UJ, and was part of the wider Junior Bok squad prior to their departure for Italy.
The South African side is stacked with players who have already donned the green and gold jersey during their tour of Georgia, the U20 Rugby Championship, and warm-up games against Kenya. The bench includes several players who participated in the victories over Australia and England.
Meanwhile, Scotland have made nine changes to their starting line-up, meaning they will come at the Junior Boks with fresh legs and huge determination.
Top of the pool, but far from done.
