The IPL 2025 was host to SRH vs GT on Sunday (6th April) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The game saw Gujarat Titans continuing their golden touch in the tournament as they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets.
Asked to bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad were off to a poor start with the bat as both Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma (18) fell early. Soon, after that, Ishan Kishan (17) also perished as the hosts were left reeling at 50 for three.
Nitish Kumar Reddy (31) and Heinrich Klaasen (27) brought his team back into the game with their 50-run stand for the fourth wicket. Gujarat Titans kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals to put pressure on the Orange Army.
But, in the end, skipper Pat Cummins (22*) played a cameo to take his team to a total of 152 for eight. For Gujarat, Mohammed Siraj bagged four wickets.
In the chase, Gujarat Titans also lost two quick wickets in Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler. But skipper Shubman Gill (61*) and Washington Sundar (49) brought their team back into the game with their 90-run stand.
Later, Sherfane Rutherford (35 not out:16b, 6×4, 1×6) also played a brilliant hand, and Gujarat Titans chased the target with seven wickets in hand to register their third win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
