The British & Irish Lions face AUNZ XV on Saturday in their last match before the Tests against Australia start
The final warm-up match for the British & Irish Lions sees them take on an Australian and New Zealand Invitational XV.
The invitational side have named eight All Blacks in their team, with the likes of David Havili and Hoskins Sotutu lining up against Andy Farrell’s side.
It also features Wallabies like Marika Koroibete, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto and Pete Samu. New Lions call-up Owen Farrell, who is a tour veteran, has been named amongst the replacements and will look to make an impact, while Welshman Jac Morgan has a final chance to nail down a place in the Test side.
Despite losing against Argentina in the 2025-opener, the Lions have won every single touring match so far.
The fixture against AUNZ XV will provide something similar to Test-match intensity with the amount of international players involved. However, the Australian and Kiwi players will be playing together for the first time.
After this match, there is a one-week break before the first Test against Australia in Brisbane.
The following Wednesday will see the Lions face First Nations and Pasifika XV, before two back-to-back Tests to close out the tour.
Here’s everything you need to know about the match against AUNZ XV on Saturday.
