Vaibhav Suryavanshi will become the youngest player in IPL history, as he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.10 crore. He caught the limelight for his spectacular performances at youth cricket level, including an extraordinary century in a Youth Test match against Australia and a great performance in the 2024 U19 Asia Cup, in which he amassed 176 runs from five games.
2. C Andre Siddarth (Chennai Super Kings) – Age: 18 years 200 days
Chennai Super Kings acquired local prospect C Andre Siddarth for INR 30 lakh. With his reputation for staying strong under pressure, Siddarth has been impressive in domestic cricket with 372 runs at a batting average of 93 from six Ranji Trophy games. He has emerged as a potential value addition to the CSK side.
3. Kwena Maphaka (Rajasthan Royals) – Age: 18 years 231 days
Kwena Maphaka, a South African pacer, comes to Rajasthan Royals from a successful performance in the U19 World Cup, where he established his bowling credentials. He belonged to Mumbai Indians but has now been picked up by the Royals for INR 1.5 crore, introducing international exposure to the team. Recently, Kwena set a record as the youngest South African to debut in Test cricket.

4. Swastik Chikara (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) – Age: 19 years 238 days
Swastik Chikara, yet another young gun, will turn out for Royal Challengers Bengaluru this year. He made news with his stellar performance in the Uttar Pradesh T20 League, where he topped the run-scorers’ list with an average of close to 50 and a strike rate of over 185.
5. Musheer Khan (Punjab Kings) – Age: 19 years 271 days
Musheer Khan, Sarfaraz Khan’s brother, was signed by Punjab Kings at his base price of INR 30 lakh. He has impressed with his performances in the domestic circuit, particularly hitting a double century in the Ranji Trophy against Baroda. He also broke Sachin Tendulkar‘s record to become the youngest Mumbai batter to hit a century in a Ranji Trophy final.
