
Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali has finally broken the silence on the controversy over his popular catchphrase “King Kar Lega,” a slogan meant to back his close friend and former skipper Babar Azam.
As his loyalty to Babar Azam turned into controversy due to his ongoing poor form with the bat, Hasan Ali was forced to apologize to the fans amid the ongoing IPL 2025.

As fans turned critical, linking the catchphrase to Babar’s form slump, Hasan felt the heat. During a press conference at PSL 2025, the speedster offered an open apology to the fans for his viral catchphrase in support of the former Pakistan skipper.

However, Hasan made it clear he hasn’t lost faith in Babar. While acknowledging the criticism, he stood firm in his support for the Pakistani star. He believes that Babar’s rough patch is temporary, but his class is unquestionable, and he stands by his words.

Hasan Ali said in the press conference, “If people think saying ‘King Kar Lega’ was a mistake, then I apologize to all fans, including Babar. He was the best, is the best, and will bounce back soon. Everyone goes through tough times.”

This was not the first time Hasan showed his support to struggling Babar. Last year, he had stated, “He is my king, he is the king of Pakistan cricket… I know people may abuse me again, but he is the best batsman of Pakistan, and he has proved it.”

Meanwhile, Hasan is currently playing for the Karachi Kings in the ongoing PSL 2025. In their last game, Hasan picked up four wickets, but Karachi Kings were hammered by Lahore Qalandars by 65 runs in the sixth game of the ongoing PSL 2025.
The Karachi Kings bowler said that the team will review their mistakes and learn from them. He admitted they did well in one game but struggled in the next, but he was hoping to make a strong comeback.

Hasan Ali said about the game, “We’ll review things. In one match, we dominated, and in the next, our batting flopped. We’ll learn from this. If we perform, we will play. We’re still young, and I’ve been one of the best bowlers in T20 matches. I always train with the mindset of making a comeback. The rest depends on the national team selection committee and what they think.”
Karachi Kings will next face Quetta Gladiators in PSL 10
Notably, Karachi Kings will now face Quetta Gladiators in their next PSL 2025 game on April 18 at the National Stadium in Karachi. Kings are currently ranked fourth in the points table with two points from two games, while Quetta Gladiators is at the third spot with the same points, losing one of their two games in the tournament so far.
Currently, Hasan Ali is the joint second-highest wicket-taker in the ongoing PSL 2025 with five wickets from games for the Karachi Kings. He is the vice-captain of the Karachi Kings, led by David Warner.
