Clermont Auvergne have confirmed three new signings for the 2025-26 season, headlined by France international flanker Selevasio Tolofua.
The former RCT back-row forward, capped twice by Les Bleus, arrives on an initial one-year loan followed by a two-year deal.
He will step in for Samoan veteran Fritz Lee, who announced his departure from the club after sustaining a serious injury in Clermont’s Champions Cup Round of 16 clash against Northampton.
“They’re the kind of players I like, players who can have an athletic dimension and a very frontal game,” declared Clermont manager Christophe Urios on the club’s website. “Selevasio has very good hands and an ability to win his collisions on the power line, a player who plays on his feet and is able to gain ground by being very strong in small spaces.”
Clermont have also recruited Fijian centre Alivereti Loaloa from Pro D2 side Nevers. The 24-year-old, who arrived in France in 2019 and qualifies as a JIFF player, has signed until 2028. Urios believes Loaloa could become “a very good surprise in the Top 14.”
Completing the trio of arrivals is 20-year-old scrum-half Lucas Zamora from La Rochelle, currently on loan at Soyaux-Angoulême. They join previously announced signings: All Blacks fly-half Harry Plummer and versatile forward Pio Muarua from Grenoble.
