Nottingham Forest moved up to second in the table with a 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park in one of four 3pm Sunday kick-offs in the Premier League.

Goals from Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White gave Forest the victory as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side move two points ahead of Arsenal with the Gunners not playing until New Year’s Day.

It completes what has been an hugely impressive second-half of the year for Espirito Santo’s team, who travel to struggling Wolves on 6 January.

At the other end of the table, Tyler Dibling scored the first goal of the Ivan Juric era as Southampton took an early lead in their game with Crystal Palace.

However, Trevoh Chalobah levelled on the half-hour mark before Eberechi Eze completed the comeback on 52-minutes.

The result keeps the Saints rooted to the bottom of the league, while Palace move to within two points of 14th placed Manchester United.

At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs and Wolves played out a memorable 2-2 draw, with Jorgen Strand Larsen grabbing an 87th-minute equaliser for the visitors.

Hwang Hee-Chan gave Wolves an early lead only for Rodrigo Bentancur and Brennan Johnson to turn the tie on its head before half-time.

Ange Postecoglou’s recent frustrations were compounded when Strand Larsen levelled things up with three minutes of the 90 remaining.

A few miles across town at Craven Cottage, Fulham and Bournemouth also played out a four-goal stalemate.

Off the back of an impressive victory at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day, Raul Jimenez and Harry Wilson scored for Marco Silva’s side.

But the Cherries hit back each time after going behind, with Evanilson and Dango Ouatarra earning a point for Andoni Iraola’s team.
