The D-backs announced Friday that they’ve claimed catcher René Pinto off waivers from the Orioles. Baltimore designated Pinto for assignment a week ago to create roster space for free-agent signee Charlie Morton. Arizona already had two open spots on their 40-man roster, which is now at 39 players, so there’s no corresponding move.
