Celtics vs Mavericks preview
The Boston Celtics have won four in a row and they are closing in on the top seed in the East, but with games running out in the regular season, there is hardly any room for Joe Mazzulla’s team to slip up.
With that being said, the Celtics have looked like they may be back to their best this year and a convincing win in Cleveland against the Cavaliers capped off a brilliant road trip.
Last time Boston met Dallas was at the end of January and the reigning champions thumped their opposition even with Kyrie Irving playing. The Celtics are currently on a five game winning run against the Mavericks.
The Dallas Mavericks may be able to call on a new trade acquisition this week though as Anthony Davis has officially been upgraded to questionable for Thursday’s game.
In a trade that shocked the world, Luka Doncic traded places with Davis on the Lakers last week, but neither are yet to make a debut for their new respective teams.
Davis has been spotted in practice for Dallas building up to Thursday and he may have now recovered from the abdominal strain that has kept him sidelined.
Caleb Martin also joined Dallas at the beginning of February but he is not yet available as the deal goes through, with P.J. Washington missing out for personal reasons.
