CHARLESTON, S.C. — College of Charleston head coach Chad Holbrook still bristles when the topic turns to his team being snubbed for an NCAA Tournament appearance last season, and who can blame him?
The Cougars were 41-14 overall and 21-5 in the CAA, winning their second regular-season conference title in three years along the way. In short, it was a throwback to some of the vintage College of Charleston teams from years past, including teams that made super regional appearances in 2006 under John Pawlowski, the architect of the program in many respects, and in 2014 under Monte Lee.
