Antoine Aucagne’s last-gasp penalty ensured the points were shared between Perpignan and the Cheetahs in the first round EPCR Challenge Cup clash at the NRCA Stadium in Amsterdam on Sunday.
The lead changed hands four times in this contest, but it was the erratic boot of Perpignan flyhalf Aucagne that eventually forced a 20-20 draw.

The Cheetahs’ three tries came from No 8 Jeandre Rudolph, hooker Louis van der Westhuizen and replacement flanker Daniel Maartens, while flyhalf Ethan Wentzel added five from the tee.
For Perpignan, Aucagne kicked 11 points to complement tries from winger Seta Toganiyadrava and outside center Job Poulet.
Perpignan return to France next week when they host Connacht at the Stade Aime Giral while the Cheetahs travel to Wales to face Cardiff in round 2.
