The Vodacom Bulls made it five wins from six matches in the 2024-25 Vodacom URC with their first victory against Connacht in Galway on Saturday.
The Bulls, who led 14-0 at half time, scored two tries either side of the break for a bonus-point 28-14 victory at The Sportsground.
The competition resumed in round 7 after a four-week break with the Bulls riding high on a four-out-of-five win record from their opening matches.
First-half tries from left winger Sebastian de Klerk and scrumhalf Embrose Papier, and two conversions from flyhalf Johan Goosen, powered the Herd in front at the break in Galway.

Outside centre David Kriel and right winger Canan Moodie crossed the whitewash after the restart for Goosen to extend the visitors’ advantage from the kicking tee.
David Hawkshaw and fellow substitute Caolin Blade dotted down for the home side to add some respectability to the scoreline.
Connacht No 8 Sean Jansen saw red for a high shoulder on Bulls skipper Marcell Coetzee inside the opening 40 minutes, before opposite number Mpilo Gumede received his marching orders in the second half for dangerous contact with Hawkshaw’s eyes.
The Bulls will now shift focus to the Champions Cup, where Jake White’s charges kick off their campaign against three-time champions Saracens in North London next Saturday.
