Arsenal vs Everton: Goalless Gunners

Arsenal remained six points behind Liverpool after failing to break down an Everton side who have now not scored a league away goal in more than six-and-a-half hours of football.

The Gunners were predictably dominant but could not make promising openings tell as the Toffees held on to move five points clear of the bottom three with a game in hand on Ipswich and Wolves.

Liverpool vs Fulham: Jota goal decisive

Liverpool recovered to rescue a point against Fulham in a thriller against Fulham, having had Andy Robertson dismissed six minutes after Andreas Pereira’s 11th-minute opener for Fulham.

Cody Gakpo equalised by heading in Mohamed Salah’s cross two minutes after the break, but Rodrigo Muniz flicked the Cottagers back in front 14 minutes from time. On his return from an 11-game injury absence, substitute Jota turned smartly and rolled in a composed finish to move the leaders five points clear of second-placed Chelsea.

Newcastle vs Leicester: Murphy goals menace Foxes

Jacob Murphy struck in the 30th and 60th minutes as Newcastle won for the first time in five matches by handing Leicester a crushing first defeat in three.

Bruno Guimares’ header doubled the Magpies’ lead two minutes after half-time and Alexander Isak nodded in their fourth two minutes later.

Wolves vs Ipswich: Taylor goal thrills Tractor Boys

Wolves remain four points from safety after suffering a fourth consecutive defeat courtesy of substitute Jack Taylor’s 94th-minute header.

Matt Doherty’s 15th-minute own-goal put The Tractor Boys ahead, but the visitors had levelled through Matheus Cunha’s excellent finish 18 minutes from time.

Town’s second league win of the season was their first Premier League home victory since April 2002 – during their last campaign in the top flight.
