The Boland Cavaliers are chasing the signature of a Springbok ahead of their return to the Currie Cup Premier Division.
According to Rapport, the ambitious union have former Stormers and Springbok scrumhalf Louis Schreuder in their sights.
The 35-year-old, who earned his solitary Test cap for the Springboks against Wales in Cardiff in 2017, will leave Bath at the end of the season.
“I’m not going to retire yet, I still have a few kilos left in my legs,” Schreuder told Rapport without confirming a move to Wellington.
Schreuder started for Bath in their last league-stage match of the English Premiership season, against Sacarens, but was not in the match 23 for their 34-20 semi-final win against Bristol on Friday night.

Meanwhile, Rapport claims Blitzboks David Brits and Donovan Don could also play for Boland in the Currie Cup, although SA Rugby has yet to give approval.
The Cavaliers also recently acquired the services of Pumas hooker Llewellyn Classen.
