
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the star-studded commentary panel for the upcoming PSL 2025. The likes of Lisa Sthalekar, Mark Nicholas, Sir Alastair Cook, and Wasim Akram are all set to make their debut in the commentary panel of the league.
The PSL 2025 is all set to begin from 11th April and the preparations for the tournament are in full flow. A total of 34 games will be played in the tournament across Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The final is all set to take place on 18 May.

While the players have started joining their franchises, the PCB is making sure that they do their part right. On Sunday (6th April), they announced the commentary panel, which features former players from various parts of the world.
Four former Pakistan Test captains, Aamir Sohail, Ramiz Raja, Waqar Younis, and Wasim Akram, will be doing commentary from Pakistan. Also, they will be joined by Bazid Khan, former Pakistan women’s team captain Urooj Mumtaz and cricket analyst Sikander Bakht.
Along with Alastair Cook, the world feed will feature Mark Nicholas, Dominic Cork, and Mark Butcher, while South Africa’s Jean-Paul Duminy and Mike Haysman will also be part of the commentary panel for the upcoming PSL 2025.
From Bangladesh, Athar Ali Khan will be there and he will be joined by New Zealand’s former Test cricketer Martin Guptill. Australia’s two-time ICC Women’s World Cup winner, Lisa Sthalekar, has been named to the commentary panel for the PSL 2025.
PSL 2025 to be telecasted in Urdu
The PSL 2025 will also be telecasted in Urdu for the first time.
Ali Younis, Aqeel Samar, Marina Iqbal, Salman Butt, and Tariq Saeed will be featuring in the Urdu panel. While Erin Holland and Zainab Abbas will be the presenters during the games in the tournament.
PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer made an official statement after the commentary panel was announced for the 2025 edition. He said that they are excited to see iconic names in the cricketing world to be part of the PSL, adding that their experience will enhance the viewing experience for fans. He said:
“We are excited to welcome a star-studded commentary team, featuring some of the most iconic names in the cricketing world — including legendary former Test captains and top-tier broadcasters. Their involvement not only enhances the quality of our coverage but also highlights the global stature of the HBL PSL.
“This year, for the first time in HBL PSL history, we will be broadcasting a full match entirely in Urdu commentary – a move that brings us even closer to our passionate fanbase across Pakistan. We are confident that the combination of iconic voices and fresh innovations will enhance the viewing experience for fans at home and around the world.”
