A hilarious moment unfolded during the 33rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, April 17.
The Mumbai Indians (MI) vice-captain, Suryakumar Yadav, was seen treating the young Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opening batsman Abhishek Sharma like a suspect by checking his pocket.

Suryakumar Yadav Treats Abhishek Like a Criminal
Abhishek Sharma has looked in decent touch in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as after failing in the first few matches, he played a knock for the ages against the Punjab Kings (PBKS).
He was expected to continue his good run with the bat in the match against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, but he failed to do that. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head came out to open in the first innings as SRH lost the toss and were invited to bat first.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma received treatment like a suspect on the ground as the Mumbai Indians (MI) star batsman Suryakumar Yadav was seen cheekily checking his pocket for a hidden note.
The reason behind this move by Suryakumar Yadav was an interesting yet hilarious one. He was looking for a handwritten note, similar to the one Abhishek Sharma had brought out from his pocket as a part of his century celebration during the previous match against the Punjab Kings.
Notably, Abhishek Sharma, who had slammed a brutal century in the run-chase against PBKS, took out a note from his pocket that read: “This one is for the Orange Army,” and celebrated his ton in style.
Meanwhile, in the match against Mumbai Indians, Abhishek Sharma, who was dropped on the first ball by Will Jacks, scored 40 off 28 balls, with seven boundaries.

How Did SRH Perform in Their Previous IPL 2025 Match?
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) delivered a jaw-dropping performance in their previous IPL 2025 match as they chased down a mammoth 246-run target against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Hyderabad on April 12 to register an eight-wicket win and end their four-match losing streak.
Batting first, PBKS posted a colossal total of 245/6, riding on a blistering 82 off 36 balls from Shreyas Iyer and impactful cameos by Priyansh Arya (36 off 13) and Marcus Stoinis (34* off 11).
For SRH, Harshal Patel stood out with the ball, picking 4 wickets for 42 runs, including the key wickets of Shreyas Iyer and Glenn Maxwell, while Eshan Malinga got 2 wickets and helped SRH restrict PBKS from going beyond 260.
During the second innings, it was absolute mayhem with the bat as Abhishek and Travis Head switched on their beast mode and played destructive innings.
Abhishek played arguably the greatest innings in a run-chase in IPL history, smashing 141 off just 55 deliveries to register the highest-ever score by an Indian in the tournament.
He was well supported by Travis Head, who slammed 66 off 37 balls as the duo added a 171-run stand for the opening wicket. The sensational batting performances from Abhishek and Head took SRH close to victory before Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan took SRH past the finish line with nine balls to spare.
