SRH use Abhinav Manohar as an impact player
Batting first in the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad faced a terrible batting collapse as they were reduced to 35/5. This forced the Sunrisers Hyderabad to bring in Manohar as the impact player in the innings.
Manohar came to bat at the No.7 spot and built a good partnership with Heinrich Klaasen that helped the Sunrisers Hyderabad avoid embarrassment.
Abhinav Manohar built a 99-run partnership with Heinrich Klaasen before getting out in the 20th over of the innings. On the 4th ball of the over, Trent Boult bowled a full delivery to Manohar on off-stump, and the batter was deep in the crease.
Abhinav Manohar went further back in the crease while trying to hit the ball towards square on the off side, he ended up smashing his stumps with the bat. He got dismissed for 37-ball 43, and his innings consisted of 2 fours and 3 sixes.

So, if I was Sunrisers Hyderabad, I would want the best possible surface – Nick Knight
Speaking on ESPNCricinfo ahead of the SRH vs MI clash, Nick Knight said that the Sunrisers Hyderabad batters should be provided with the best possible batting surface. He elaborated:
“It shouldn’t be, though, should it? Because these guys are top-quality players. I mean, these guys are more than capable, and you’d expect them to be more than capable of adapting to the different conditions that they’re presented with. If you want to be really basic and simple about it, they need as good a pitch as possible because that then gives their batting unit the best chance of expressing themselves and getting their team ahead of the game.
“So, if I was Sunrisers Hyderabad, I would want the best possible surface. That would be a given for me. But, of course, when you look at the sides before the tournament started, Sunrisers were right at the top there for me. They had everything covered. So, they’d be disappointed with how they’ve played so far.”
Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara said that SRH would give them the best chance of winning against MI by playing on a flat pitch. He said:
“It is, but at the same time, SRH’s best strategy is to try and score as many runs as possible. I’m thinking they will try and chase it down because even in the last home game, they chased more than 240. So, that’s their best chance because they need to allow their batters to play freely. They have struggled a bit on a slower pitch.
“And their bowling is one of the most expensive bowling line-up this season. So, for SRH, I think there are a lot of questions but at the same time, their best chance to win a game is to play on a flat pitch”
