Tottenham have reached a deal in principle to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham in a transfer worth approximately £55 million, according to reports.
The 24-year-old is expected to undergo a medical on Thursday before finalising a six-year contract with the North London side ahead of the new season.
Spurs initially submitted a £50m bid for the Ghana international, which was rejected. Negotiations have since progressed, with Kudus now poised to make the switch after expressing a clear preference for Tottenham should he depart West Ham.
Personal terms between player and club are not anticipated to pose any complications.
Kudus’ current deal with West Ham, signed after his €41.5m move from Ajax in 2023, runs until 2028.
That contract includes a release clause valid only during the first 10 days of July – £80m for European clubs, £85m for Premier League sides, and £120m for Saudi Pro League teams.

Last season, Kudus made 35 Premier League appearances, contributing five goals and four assists.
Although a slight dip from his debut season’s tally of eight goals and nine assists, the midfielder remains highly valued for his technical ability, flair, and versatility, qualities Tottenham are believed to have targeted as part of their summer rebuild.
Spurs’ interest in Kudus aligns with a broader effort to reinforce their attacking options. The club recently secured the permanent signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich following a successful loan spell.
The 20-year-old French forward has penned a six-year deal, with the total transfer package reportedly worth up to €45 million.
Tottenham have also been tracking Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, who previously worked under new Spurs head coach Thomas Frank. However, the 25-year-old Cameroon international has made it clear he is prioritising a move to Manchester United. United remain in negotiations after having two initial offers rejected.
