
Sunderland’s frantic recruitment drive continued today with winger Chemsdine Talbi signing a five-year deal at the Stadium of Light.
The 20-year-old moves to Wearside from Club Brugge for a reported fee of £19million including add-ons and will bolster a squad hoping to make the step up to the Premier League next season after promotion via the Championship play-offs.

Talbi, who is renown for his blistering pace, impressed for Brugge last season, scoring seven goals and adding five assists in 44 appearances in all competitions, including 11 games in the Champions League.
Talbi excited to join Sunderland
Talbi told the club’s official website: “I’m really excited to be here and grateful for the opportunity to play for this club. I made the decision because it’s a great project with a talented, exciting team full of young players – and that really motivated me.
“The Premier League is the biggest and best league in the world, so I’m looking forward to getting started. I know the fans will get behind me from the start, and I can’t wait to see them at the stadium.”

Sunderland have already signed Habib Diarra, Noah Sadiki and Reinildo Mandava this window, as well as making Enzo Le Fee’s loan move from Roma permanent.
Reports today also claimed Brighton winger Simon Adingra had flown to the north-east to complete a £20.5 move from Brighton.
