The Athletics and Rays are in the final stages of completing a multi-player trade that would involve Jeffrey Springs heading to the A’s, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan (multiple links). The A’s will receive Springs and another player, while the Rays will receive right-handers Joe Boyle and Jacob Watters, outfielder Will Simpson, plus the Athletics’ pick in Competitive Balance Round A of the 2025 draft.
