Germany ran out 3-0 winners over France in the European U21 Championship semi-final to set up a mouth-watering final against England on Saturday.
Antonio Di Salvo’s side maintained their 100% record at this year’s tournament as Nelson Weiper, star striker Nick Woltemade and Brajan Gruda sealed a convincing victory in Kosice.
Germany raced out of the traps, with Weiper opening the scoring after just eight minutes before Woltemade doubled his country’s lead after a quarter of an hour.
Gruda then put the icing on the cake, finding the net deep in second-half stoppage time to set up a meeting of old rivals this weekend.

England had earlier booked their place at the showdown in Bratislava after a 2-1 win over the Netherlands and Lee Carsley’s young Lions will be looking to retain the trophy they won two years ago.
But standing in their way is a Germany side that have shown a ruthless streak throughout the competition, winning all five games so far, including a 2-1 victory over England in the group phase.
And in Woltemade, they have arguably the player of the tournament so far. The 23-year-old has scored six times in four appearances as well as contributing three assists – a return that has only raised further interest in the Stuttgart player from clubs all over Europe.
