One of Moana Pasifika’s first big success stories, Miracle Faiilagi, has re-signed with the club for another season.
The 25-year-old has emerged as one of the premier blindside flankers in Super Rugby Pacific, a powerful endorsement of Moana Pasifika’s purpose in the competition, as he was the very first signing to come directly out of Samoa.
Since Faiilagi’s 2023 debut, he has risen steadily through the ranks. In 2025, he played a key role alongside Ardie Savea and Semisi Tupou Ta’eiloa in one of the most damaging loose forward trios in the competition.
“I love the culture and people here at Moana Pasifika,” Faiilagi said.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead. This year, people have witnessed what we can do, and in 2026 it will be about continuing to believe in ourselves, working hard and having faith collectively.”
Faiilagi was awarded the club’s Attacking Player of the Year award, alongside Kyren Taumoefolau, after scoring eight tries during the campaign.
Head coach Fa’alogo Tana Umaga said: “Miracle is an exceptional talent and he really elevated his game this year. He cares about the team and works very hard behind the scenes which has seen him reap the rewards.
“He’s a huge part of our Moana Pasifika movement and we’re grateful to have him back again next year.”
