The Fifpro World XI has been announced for 2024, with England and Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham named alongside four Manchester City players in the men’s side.
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is the only other Premier League player to be included, with the rest of the XI dominated by stars of Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappe, who joined Real from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, is joined by new team-mate Vinicius Junior and City’s Erling Haaland in the forward line, which does not include Lionel Messi for the first time since 2006.
The midfield sees Ballon d’Or winner Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne joined by Bellingham and fellow Champions League winner Toni Kroos, who retired after this summer’s Euro 2024.
Dani Carvajal and Antonio Rudiger make the defence alongside Van Dijk, with City goalkeeper Ederson named between the sticks.
Bellingham topped the overall men’s voting, with the 21-year-old England midfielder receiving 11,176 selections from his peers.
The team was decided by more 28,000 fellow professionals from 70 countries, with the men’s teams based on performances between August 2023 and June 2024.
