The Blitzboks have been drawn in a pool that includes reigning World Sevens Series champions Argentina, as well as hosts Australia for the third leg of the 2024-25 season.
The pool draw was conducted at HBF Park on Thursday, with the three-day tournament set to take place Down Under from 24 to 26 January. The Blitzboks were drawn in Pool A alongside Argentina, Australia, and the USA.
South Africa head into the event with momentum after winning the Cape Town Sevens title, while Fiji, who lead the men’s standings, were impressive in their Dubai triumph.

Pool B features Olympic champions France, Spain, Great Britain, and Ireland, while Pool C promises fireworks with Fiji, New Zealand, Kenya and Uruguay squaring off.
In the women’s competition, Olympic champions New Zealand lead Pool A, while Pool B features Canada, the USA, Great Britain and Fiji. Hosts Australia, who won the opening leg in Dubai, headline Pool C alongside France, China, and Spain.
