BLACKSBURG, Va. — For the second year in a row, a miserable final three weeks doomed Virginia Tech’s at-large hopes in 2024, as the Hokies went 1-8 down the stretch to finish 32-22 overall (14-16), with an RPI in the 60s. Virginia Tech was a very good offensive team last year, ranking 11th in the nation with a .968 team OPS, but ultimately its pitching fell short, finishing 103rd nationally with a 5.61 ERA.
