It was like getting punched in the gut.

Twelve times.

Immediately following the 2024 season, the Jacksonville Dolphins lost 12 players in 14 days to the transfer portal.

“This summer was about survival,” Dolphins coach Chris Hayes said. “But once we got through the shock, we found the guys who wanted to be in our program.”

Among the players who transferred out was first baseman/second baseman Justin Nadeau, who hit .395 with a 1.003 OPS in 30 games last season, including 29 starts. He is now with the Florida Gators.
