As flagged months ago by RugbyPass, Experienced back-row forward Matt Rogerson has signed for Worcester Warriors after being released by Leicester.
Rogerson, who turns 32 at the end of this month, has spent the last two seasons at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, making 27 appearances for the Tigers.
The Lancaster-born player joined the Tigers after the collapse of London Irish, where he was club captain for two seasons and played more than 100 games.
A blindside flanker or No.8, Rogerson has previous experience of the Championship with Irish and Jersey Reds. In 2018/19, he was named in the Championship Dream XV, at No.8.
However, his first experience of professional rugby came at Sale Sharks, after he joined the Premiership club fresh from Loughborough University.
Rogerson is the 30th confirmed signing by Worcester, who are believed to be looking to add three more recruits to their senior squad ahead of their return to rugby in the Champ under the leadership of head coach Matt Everard.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Worcester Warriors at such an exciting time,” said Rogerson.
“Matt’s vision for the club’s future really resonated with me, and I’m eager to play my part in building something special here.”
